Ambient Explorations – Nyack Creek

Home / Ambient Explorations – Nyack Creek

MIXED MEDIA EDITION #1 of 10

BACKSTORY

This Ambient Exploration was experienced while flying in a large arching circle around the John F. Stevens Canyon in the Theodore Roosevelt Pass. Bordering the western side of Glacier National Park, in the Rocky Mountains of Northwestern Montana, these mountains and this beautiful valley are part of the Great Bear Wilderness, home to the largest Grizzly Bear population in the lower 48 states. On the ground, this lovely woodland can be glimpsed from afar but is arduous to visit.
Featuring a composition written by Zedekiah Morse specifically for this film, the music provides a melodious sonic backdrop that accompanies the visuals for a wonderfully immersive experience.

Location Map Set

Flight Path

Flying above the middle fork of the Flathead River, We float by the western side of the valley along the Flathead Range, passing Great Bear Mountain, Nyack Mountain, and the Great Northern Mountain. We then turn upwards to the clouds and back level again, looking straight down the Theodore Roosevelt Pass.
Straightening out we now pass Threetops Mountain, as we float towards the entrance to Nyack Creek Valley, flying slowly across the valley to the side of Mount Thompson. As we traverse the valley we see deep into this long wilderness canyon, a land rich with history from the many First Nations tribes that used Red Eagle Pass over eons.

To the right towering above the valley is Three Suns Mountain, named for a First Nations ~ Amp Ska Pi Pikuni ~ Blackfeet Chief. At the very end of the valley, we see Tripple Divide Peak on Razoredge Mountain to the right and Red Eagle Pass to the left. On the left side of the valley in the foreground lies the base of Mount Thompson.

Greetings and howdy from the remote Rocky Mountains in northwestern Montana. This is one of a collection of rare Mixed-Media combinations of Digital (Film and Image) and Physical (Collector Coin and Volumetric Print) artworks that are combined to create something super rare for several reasons: The film and image were extremely difficult to create. The film shows the image being created (proof of provenance).  The soundtrack is an original composition I crafted specifically for this film. This is a super scarce edition, making it highly collectible. If you would like more information on the volumetric prints that are included in this Mixed Media Collection offering, please click on the image to visit my Zedekiah Morse Gallery website.
