Cougar Mountain sits in the middle of this rugged frontal view of Zion National Park, to the right is the North Fork Valley; the main entrance to the park along the Virgin River. Sitting under the watchful gaze of multiple iconic locations; The Altar of Sacrifice, the Eastern and Western Temples, Church Mesa, The Sundial, The Sentinel, Mount Kinesava, The Guardian Angels, and the Inclined Temple.
At the base of Cougar Mountain is the unnamed horseshoe-shaped mesa atop Daltons Wash and to its left is the entrance to Kolab and the North Fork Creek which splits into the Left Fork and Right Fork at the base of the South Guardian Angel.
