This is a side of Bryce Canyon National Park that you cannot see when you visit on the ground. There are no roads or even trails going to these formations which lie in the wilderness area outside the park boundaries to the south.
Zedekiah: “I call this image “Hoodoo Fortresses of Bryce Canyon.” Seen from the air a ways out in front of these formations they look like a large fortress palisade, hence the name of this image. I find it fascinating there is a cave in the center structure. I wonder what is in there? Did anyone ever use this as shelter from the elements?”
